Manmeet Singh

Manmeet has over 21 years of professional experience as Application Developer, Tech Team Leader, Delivery Manager, Account Manager, Delivery Project Executive, VP-Delivery, Entrepreneur, Program manager of a large social initiative and a budding Life/Professional Coach.

Manmeet gets a ‘high’ when he is able to convert a ‘Vision’ to a working plan and energise his team to achieve the ‘Vision’. Manmeet considers himself to be good at communicating the larger picture and connecting the entire team to it.

In the last 2 years Manmeet has spent considerable time building his startup Samvad – from a idea to MVP, running through the pilot phase and currently being Incubated at NSRCEL at IIMB.

Manmeet is currently uniquely placed with his recent entrepreneurial journey of Samvad, working as a program manager for a large social initiative in the education sector and completing his coach training program from Coach for Life, USA, and working towards to shortly be certified as a Associate Certified Coach by ICF. Manmeet has been fortunate to be trained by the Master Coach, Peter Reding of Coach for Life.

Manmeet is well equipped to coach high performing IT professionals in India in their mid-career looking to reenergize and reinvent themselves. This deep belief comes from Manmeet’s professional journey experiences and his recent commitment to be a ICF certified coach in 2018.

Manmeet is a Computer Science Engineer by education, a keen observer and people professional by choice. Manmeet completed his Advanced Management Program from IIMB in 2014

Key Achievements

  • Samvad (my startup in the space of employee engagement) was selected in January 2017 to be part of the Launchpad program at the NSRCEL at IIMB.
  • Samvad selected for incubation at NSRCEL, IIMB and started incubation in Nov 2017
  • Enabled the entire organization to move to agile way of working i.e. all organizational level functions were also run using the agile framework. E.g. Administration, Hiring, Program management etc.
  • Conceptualized, designed and participated in executing the leadership development training for select 16 top performers of the organization.
  • Joined and successfully completed a 1 year Advanced Management Program from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB).
  • Part of start-up initiated in the Medical Wellness industry. My key contributions in this initiatives were: Firming requirements by studying the current industry trends and needs, Business development activities, Vendor management, Creation of wireframes of the end product and participation in UI finalization and preparation of the VC pitch including the financial model and revenue and expense details for the upcoming 5 years.
  • Management Consulting assignment for a start-up in the Analytics space. The use case being that the start-up wants to move to the next level of expansion and would like to bring in all the necessary processes which make it as seamless as possible for the current employees and the new ones who join as part of the expansion.
  • Conceptualised and launched an Employee Engagement platform to enable continuous feedback aimed at employees taking control of it actively. The platform has been live since May 2016. More can be viewed at
  • Successfully certified as ISO 9001:2008 organization (Tarento technologies) in May 2012
  • Created and rolled out Career Development model for both technical and Test/Project management streams – first of it’s kind in the entire organization
  • Rolled out organization governance model to cover active tracking and reporting of HR activities, Delivery activities and Network operations performance
  • Created clear role and responsibilities of each practice and role as per the career model and tied it with objectives and goals of the organization and respective practice
  • Created and rolled out mid-year and annual performance reviews based on the objectives and goals defined for respective roles for the entire organization
  • People mentoring - Management candidates, 5 direct reports as Project and Test managers being mentored with active career consulting to move to the SDM and STM level in next 12 months
  • Created and rolled out Delivery Quality Framework which mandates each project/portfolio/account to choose a way of working and offers a governance model to help manage the engagement with an active participation of the customer
  • Created and rolled out a 7-keys method to be able to assess and mitigate risks in a pro-active way
  • Delivered both Fixed price and time and material projects types for various customers in the Nordic region. Projects ranging from 3 months to multi-year contracts
  • Established organization’s Quality Policy, Goals and Objectives as a kick off towards the ISO 9001:2008 certification
  • Recipient of Excellence in Business Delivery Award (only 54 such awards given at IBM India level) - VF GR and PT for exceeding migration business case in the multi million dollar contract

  • Active long distance runner – Ran 2 half (21.1 kms), 5 full (42.2 kms) and 2 ultra (50 kms) marathons so far
